Rotary Cutter vs Scissors — Which One’s Better?
It’s the battle of the blades: rotary cutter vs scissors. Both have their strengths (and their sharp edges), but here’s how I actually use them in real life.
🌀 Rotary Cutter: The Workhorse
I use this 95% of the time. It’s fast, it’s accurate, and I can cut through multiple layers with ease. My advice? Keep a few on hand — one for fabric, one for paper, one for attacking the emotional burden of a growing UFO pile.
✂️ Scissors: Still Got It
Perfect for curves, thread snipping, and the occasional emergency haircut (kidding). They still live near my machine and get used daily — just not for big jobs.
Safety Tip:
Replace your rotary blade regularly. If you’re pushing too hard or it’s skipping threads, it’s time for a new one.
